Become Part of Humanity’s Future
Join a Global Community Building Tomorrow
The Space Development Cooperative is bringing together people from around the world who share a common ambition: to establish a permanent, independent human civilization in space.
Whether you’re an engineer, scientist, programmer, artist, educator, tradesperson, or simply someone who believes in humanity’s future beyond Earth, there’s a place for you in this effort.
Our greatest resource isn’t money. It’s the knowledge, creativity, and determination of people working together to achieve something extraordinary.
Join us in building the foundations of tomorrow.
Why Become a Member?
The Space Development Cooperative is more than a space exploration initiative. We’re working toward an entirely new approach to human development, built on cooperation, shared knowledge, innovation, and collective achievement.

Inspired by the success of open-source communities, we envision an organization where people from every background can contribute their abilities toward a common purpose.
Our projects will include space habitat development, asteroid mining, robotics, advanced technology, entertainment, education, and scientific research.
Every contribution brings us one step closer to making permanent human civilization in space a reality.
Membership Contributions
$50 CAD / month
Help Build Humanity’s Future — For Less Than the Price of a Cup of Coffee a Day.
Our proposed standard membership contribution is just $50 CAD per month, approximately $1.65 per day.
These contributions will help fund equipment, research, materials, development facilities, and the infrastructure needed to support our growing cooperative.
Your Skills Can Be Your Contribution
We believe financial circumstances should never be an unnecessary barrier to participation.
Members who cannot afford the full monthly contribution may qualify to offset a portion of their membership fees through approved work, professional expertise, research, or other contributions to cooperative projects.
For example, a member might contribute $10 per month financially and satisfy the remaining $40 through approved engineering, programming, administrative, or other work.
These arrangements will be evaluated individually, recognizing that people have different financial circumstances, skills, and opportunities.
Your greatest contribution may not be financial. It may be what you know, what you can do, or what you dream of creating.
How Can You Participate?
There are many ways to become involved, regardless of your professional background.
Engineering
Engineering and Research: Habitat design, propulsion, asteroid mining, energy systems, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
Technology
Software and Technology: Programming, simulations, artificial intelligence, communications, and computing systems.
Creative
Creative Projects: Our asteroid-mining game, television adventure series, animation, writing, and digital media.
Education
Education and Community: Teaching, mentoring, documentation, and sharing knowledge.
Business
Business and Administration: Accounting, project coordination, management, communications, and organizational development.
New Ideas
Members will also be encouraged to propose new projects for cooperative consideration.
You don’t need to be an aerospace engineer to help humanity reach the stars.
A Cooperative Built Around Its Members
Our intention is to build an organization where members have meaningful opportunities to participate in decisions, propose initiatives, contribute to projects, and help shape our collective direction.

As commercial activities develop, we also envision opportunities to recognize members’ contributions through additional compensation and potential annual cooperative patronage distributions.
These arrangements will be established through the cooperative’s formal bylaws and policies, with distributions dependent on available surplus.
Our objective is simple: the cooperative’s success should benefit the community that helps create it.
Help Us Take the First Steps
Building a permanent human civilization in space will be a tremendous undertaking. It won’t happen overnight, and it won’t happen through the efforts of a handful of individuals.
It will take people from around the world, contributing their knowledge, creativity, resources, and determination toward a shared objective.
We are building that community today.
Humanity’s future in space begins with the people willing to help create it.
Be Part of the Beginning
Formal enrollment, contribution arrangements, and membership rights will be detailed as the cooperative’s organizational framework is finalized.
